I'm always a little hesitant with reconditioned items. Did they come in the original packaging and look new?

The one I got came in amazon box, inside that it had the original beats case, the headphone was basically brand new and the usb c and headphone wires as well.

Bought these a few weeks ago and so far they're pretty decent for $100, no way they're worth the original $350 retail that Apple wants IMO. Mine came in a brown box with the case & charging cord and look/feel like new.

Music sounds pretty good although the bass feels a bit "pumped up" above normal which is what people seem to like now. The only problem I've had is that sometimes when I'm watching a YouTube video I get a faint feedback/buzzing noise sometimes. It's only on YouTube and no where else like Audible, Netflix, YouTube Music, Vudu, Apple TV, etc. which all sound good.

The usual complaint is that the bass is lower than competitors, most suggest to eq it up. With spatial audio, I think its comparable to $350 headphones like sony, at least in audio quality. The other features I havent really tested yet, anc/transparency seem to work good. Build quality, maybe its a step down, about the same.

I agree. I tried these on at best buy and compared to Sony and bose, these are a no go. I would try those bh1 mentioned below this comment before buying these.

These are not even close to a $350 Sony headset in sound quality. Also they are super cheap feeling with a bunch of plastic instead of metal.

Ill test them out again tonight, The spatial audio does make a difference, especially with movies. Id imagine some will say with music its not pure, but it really is, doesnt really do anything weird to the music, and obviously theres a lot of music that are specifically mastered for spatial audio. I have both the xm5 and the studio pros, I kind of a/b tested but that stuff just drives you nuts. I just wear over long periods of time and the experience is the same. Definitely not $200 worth difference in sound quality, at least when using with apple and spatial audio. Sony is a little softer and veiled. Neither are game changing and kind of overrated. The sony at $500 is not due to the sound quality. The sony is made of plastic too, just a bit lighter and less stiff.

Agree. The Sony's on sale for like 320 on eBay. Is it 3 times the improvement in sound? For music to me it was. However you can't mess with any settings at best buy. I myself are hoping the new Bose go on sale for 300. They were super comfortable. Sony had a better natural sound than the bose but the comfort and build quality goes to bose.

The sony to me is unbelievably comfortable, most comfortable headphone Ive tried out of 30 or so headphones, so the bose must be heavenly, I've read that its much more comfortable too. Luckily comfort doesnt seem to bother me much anymore, I dont know why, it used to, but I've passed out every time while wearing the beats pro no problem. The clamp is definitely harder but not bad, I can definitely see people not liking it though, the headband is stiffer with less padding, its not as light, and the cup is smaller than the Sony. But the spatial audio is a difference maker and not many bring it up while comparing
