Go check Ebay target bulleye , they are selling Metroid and Emmi ones new for $18 and open box for $15. You can probably get it a bit lower if you submit an offer

The employee at my neighborhood's GameStop told me, they don't get sold at all, including those new Kirby ones. They are expensive as hell. He said he's expecting GameStop putting them on clearance for 70% off soon maybe after the holiday season or early next year. I'm not going to buy these Nintendo's ripoffs now.

I'm not surprised as the pricing of Amiibos these days has just gotten out of control and their appeal is to somewhat of a more niche audience to begin with that is increasingly getting priced out. These things used to be $12-$15 not all that long ago. Then some were like $20. Up until that point arguably within impulse buy territory. But now being asked to fork over $30-$50 for a game-related novelty figure vs putting the same amount towards actual game(s) instead is not a hard decision for most people.

Same, because you never know with Nintendo items. They either sell out quick and become expensive to buy from scalpers or they don't. I'll just take my chances next time and if I can't get it, oh well.

The $30 was for early access. Wink

They were never going to move any at $30. Stores had lots of stock and they aren't widely desirable figures to begin with.

Well my local Best Buy had ample stock of these when I checked. If you are concerned about the condition of such items I feel like Best Buy is the better place to pick these up as from what I've seen they don't typically spider-wrap them with security devices that damage the packaging, so if you can cherry-pick in person at Best Buy location I feel like that's the best bet.
