If you go to the Ninja site, you can still stack a ten percent code (first time buyer code, use a different email) on this price and get it near $540 pre tax.

It still does not hold a candle to the 20% off + 10% off code stack that got some of us to $450ish pre tax before they shut that code down.

I bought this last week from Shark/Ninja direct as it was on sale there for something like $635?.. There was a 20% off promo code I found with a google search and then I signed up for their newsletter and got another 10% off which I was able to stack. I paid something like $450 plus CA tax. (Came out to $504) shipped to my door. Oh and this machine is a complete GAME CHANGER!! Buy one, you will not be disappointed!

The machine is a GAME CHANGER! It's excellent, buy one for sure. Me and my wife have had ours for two days and can make coffee house (or better) coffee/ coffee drinks at home!
We are done with Nespresso and Keurig machines and all of those pods and K cups.

I have the Costco version which I bought about three months ago for $425
The portafilter on these are super hard to turn and it doesn't get better with time.
I'm thinking about returning mine.

thank you. You really are a coffee connoisseur. Can you use simultaneously use espresso ground and coffee grounds for two different drinks? Or can you only only load one type of coffee in the machine at one time?

The machine requires whole beans to be loaded which it internally grinds, however with good beans you can make both espresso drinks as well as coffee with the same beans. It's easy enough to swap beans as well, however it requires a re calibration of the grinder when beans are changed. Re calibration is 2 runs (3 max) of a double espresso shot. The machine can grind something like 30 different coarsenesses, and the intelligence selects and instructs you as to which is correct grind coarseness for each drink being ran. Espresso runs very fine grinds, while coffee is a much more coarse grind etc.. The machine does an exceptional job determining this for each bean change.
I've ran some holiday blend beans from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf co and now I'm running a fresh bag of Starbucks Pike Place, with both making exceptional coffee and espresso.

It should be stiff to lock/seal the portafilter, as it's under 9 bar of pressure (130.5 PSI) when brewing.

Got the ES701 last week from Ninja on the $457 deal. Was delivered next day since its ships from socal . So far really impressed with it. I also have a breville 870xl and a jura but this machine is really impressive. It is one step removed from going to a coffee shop. My only task is to mix the milk and coffee and drink it. It takes care of everything else (determining the grind of the beans, determining when beans are changed and evaluating grind, frothing milk and stopping when done, specifying different types of milk etc etc). And the cleanup is almost nothing compared to the Jura which requires a ton of daily cleanup if using milk. The breville is still a great machine but I feel like this Ninja builds on the Breville and then takes it ahead 2 steps.

so you every time you want to change from coffee to espresso and vice versa you must change out the beans? kind of inconvenient. I like to drink both everyday. Plus, I have lots of ground illy espresso I would like to use. Can that work?

No, as stated above you can run both coffee and espresso with the same beans, and we do this on a daily basis ourselves since we got the machine.
The machine has a built in grinder with 35 different grind coursenesses. The grind from espresso to. Drip coffee is substantially different. My advice would be run your current in your current machine and then use new beans for this system. We are dealing with the same currently as we had $200 worth of k cups and Nespresso pods still in the cupboard. The problem is the coffee and espresso drinks from this machine are so much better than everything else its, we no longer want to drink those. LOL.

Got ours a few weeks ago when our faithful coffee maker passed after years of service.

This machine is easy to use and makes a MEAN cup of coffee. Would recommend to all.
