Agreed. It is mass produced, yes... but this looks pretty "real" actually.

Ingredients: Chicken stock, yeast extract, dehydrated chicken, natural flavoring, chicken fat, carrot juice concentrate, celeriac juice concentrate, onion extract

I make my own but would use this in a pinch. Seems a pretty fair price for a quart.

I use is all the time when I need to make a quick soup but want to control the salt. Boxed or canned chicken broth can be high in sodium.

I don't have any medical reasons but I still like to control salt intake. I'd rather buy a low-salt version or an unsalted one and add my own salt to taste as opposed to just accept the high amount in a regular "salted" broth.

If your health allows, go for the salted stock. This one has "natural flavoring" and yeast extract while the salted stock seems "more natural" and has won the taste test on America's Test Kitchen.
