I'd never spend that much on a record player but it doesn't look too bad and compared to the prices on the others seems like a good deal??

you don't know what you're talking about. yeah this is ugly but AT specs are not even on the same level not even comparable to a Technics 1200 turntable. you got it twisted the AT-LP120X is a cheap knockoff of the Technics 1200.

It's a good deal for $800. This edition is based on the SL-1200MK7 which retails for $1300. The ripoff is them adding $700 to the retail price for the Lambo paint job.

Ugly but good price for Techs, they keep saying they're going away and then back they come. These things are basically indestructible and the DJs turntable of choice (I used to own a pair of MK3Ds)

Just get used 1200's.... I've beat the crap out of them over the years and they are still going.... The old mk2's are still some of the best..
