The B5 is a low end OLED, it is not very bright and will struggle in a bright room.

Looking at LG B5 48" $550 VS TCL QM6 55" $400 vs this U75QG $500... reviews seem excellent for gaming @165hz native. Don't know if I should pull the trigger if OLED and 7" smaller is worth the $50 more on the B5. Is OLED that crazy of a difference vs QLED?

The OLEDs always stand out from the rest when I am shopping in-store. Virtually blur-free motion, true blacks, eye-popping colors, and local dimming/refresh rate are unmatched compared to OLEDs. I would so buy this, but my Samsung LED from 2016 is still going strong.

Is this the same as the one in Costco for $400 with 5 year warranty?

I think you meant compared to QLEDs

It's a huge difference. I would take a smaller OLED over a bigger anything else, any day of the week.

Agreed; my Sony LED-LCD was top of the heap of non-OLED screens for its time, and still holds up well. But its replacement will definitely be OLED now that they're more affordable (unless it's supplanted by newer, better tech before I'm ready to buy).

I thought the tcl was better for gaming... anyone know if there's much of a difference between the two?

I own this at $699. At 500 it's a great deal, naturally if you can go bigger, go bigger but my case 55" was max for the set up.

Picture looks great, super bright. Has a lot of bells and whistles, can confirm the "ai" actually works on this PS3 games which are low rez get a bump in color and look somewhat better ( on skylanders). 4k streamed looks ok, I tend to run this stuff off when watching movies.

Remote is nice and has some backlighting on some of the buttons, set up was easy aside the fact that it is now easier to set up a PC with all the signup bloatware, as this thing wants to be your forever friend. I was able to skip a bunch but you know the deal, no dumb TVs left.

Sound was ok, for out of the box it's better than tv speakers but…. Tv speakers are tv speakers. Was easy to mount to the VESA for wall mount, but these new TVs don't seem as sturdy so if you like to adjust the tv position it feels a bit delicate.

This replace a 50" Plasma that finally went bust

I bought this tv a few weeks ago to replace a base 50" led 4k Samsung I bought on Black Friday 4 years ago. It's a fantastic tv for then money and only required a bit of color correction out of the box. I have not tried gaming with it as it is a main/living room tv and won't see much of that.

I also just price matched through the BB app since I paid $530. Super quick to give me the $30 difference.

I always wanted to own a Sony, but they are always so dang expensive. I've been used to 55" TVs for the past decade, but would easily sacrifice 7" for this $500+ OLED.
