It appears that total wine is valid everywhere besides New York. Is that correct? Don't wanna drop $50 and not be able to use it at my local one.

The fine print from this Staples gift card only states: "Gift Cards are not redeemable in NY locations."
From a previous purchase of Total Wine gift card from Amazon [amazon.com], it said "Gift Cards cannot be redeemed in KS, NY, or OK. Spirits not available in NC or VA."
So those extra 4 state restrictions might also apply to this Staples gift card.
