Checked the ATT iPhone 17 Pro 512gb, 36$ for 36 payment plus 75$ monthly carrier contract payment for 36 months, 36x36+75x36+ activate + tax - 300 Walmart GC, can easily go above $3600 for 3 year cost.
Ended by using my Chase UR (I have 200000+ points) points transfer to Apple GC at 90% discount, then used the GC bought the unlocked Phone.
So the total 3 year cost can be like 1300$+30(prepaid monthly payment)x36 ~ 2400$, neglect the coverage/speed difference between major carrier and prepaid carriers....
$36.09 x 36 + $75 + $35 activation fee + tax -$300 gift card
New account, eSIM swap, unlock request, cancellation all can be done within 3 days
plus get activation fee and other charges waived
