I am a new customer for AT&T and I got the phones today and paid off also.
I have completed sim swap few hours back. I can confirm that 17 Pro are no longer showing on the screen.
Now when I am raising the request for unlock - they are claiming that I still owe the money.
How do we unlock this since we lready paid? Do I need to wait for certain days?
I want to unlock this phones and close the lines?
Any help is really appreciated.

Edit: Received the card now, took about 2-hours after payment to receive the GC.
I just went to a Walmart today and bought a IP17. Got the GC in email in an hour. The agent like many described opened the box and "make sure the phone works", whereas I think this is how they can track sales counts.
But my problem is, after I set up ATT login email and password, when log in to app or webpage, it also asked for something called security passcode. I don't recall setting it up, unless the Wal-Mart agent did?? It says without it I can still log in, with not with full account details visible or something along the lines. I can't even reset it as it appears you can send new passcode to preset phone number, but my preset has nothing. Have a chat online and the agent told me I have to take ID to their store to reset. What a hassle.
But to follow the instructions, I did ask the online chat agent to help me paid off the new phone. Right now just waiting for tomorrow to continue with the eSIM swap, unlock and cancel.
Questions:
1. Anyone had the same security passcode issue? In myATT app my wireless service is currently shown as error/unavailable maybe due to too soon? And I can't tell the device or IMEI under the account yet. Only thing shown is the new phone number.
2. Since I paid it off today, I would assume I can do the swap tomorrow. It's just the ATT self-service online function for this account right?
