I removed bloatware, installed AVG, and ran updates- then had to remove more bloatware. It's a snappy laptop and perfect for what she'll be using it for- Mainly browsing, YouTube, and video calls. I was watching 4K videos on YouTube and the screen color is kind of dim/dull (from the matte touchscreen finish?), but the picture quality was pretty nice.
My MIL will never need 1TB of storage space and you will find a ton of laptops with obviously more modern processors, but sometimes only 8GB RAM for the same price or more.
This is a steal if you simply need a basic laptop, great for kids and older people!
EDIT: Sound quality of speakers is below average- a little muffled/tinny. Recommend headphones if you plan to use it for music or want to enjoy the audio of whatever you're watching.
When we are getting approx same model like lenovo slim 3 for 50$ approx same config considering cashback and discount.

Intel and AMD no longer retire CPUs every year or two after the next generation comes out (like they used to in the last decade or so, when 6th gen Intel Core PCs would mostly disappear from regular retail channels soon after 7th gen comes out). Nowadays, you will find superceded CPUs like Tremont (Celeron N4500, 2021), 12th and 13th gen Alder/Raptor Lake (2022,2023), this laptop's AMD Mendocino (2022) will continue to show up in lower end laptops (where manufacturers can reuse older motherboards and designs) as they still offer respectable performance. Also, old CPU gens get rebranded/re-released to make them look like they are newer (sometimes deceptively): Raptor Lake: i5-13xxU (2023) -> Core 5 120U (2024) -> Core 5 220U (2025), Cezanne: Ryzen 5 5600U (2021) -> 5625U (2022) -> 7430U (2023), Vermeer: Ryzen 5 5600X (2020) -> ... -> 5600XT (2024), many 13th gen Intel Core desktop CPUs actually use 12th gen Alder Lake die instead of Raptor Lake [redd.it].
Got the laptop but during the initial setup its not connecting to wifi(not showing wifi available)
