Hisense: 5.9
TCL: 7.6

Whichever is chosen, I'd suggest an extended warranty (I would even if was a Sony TV). They are both well regarded TV models. I've heard several describe the Hisense as more vibrant (similar to Samsung) and the TCL more accurate/reference (similar to Sony).
According to AI "AI Overview
TCL is often considered to have better quality control
, particularly in its higher-end models, with its local dimming algorithms and overall picture processing being more consistently polished and accurate, which results in less blooming and a more refined image. While Hisense can have very impressive specifications and raw brightness, it sometimes lacks the refinement of TCL, though Hisense can be a strong contender and sometimes excels in out-of-the-box calibration accuracy. Ultimately, for a balanced and consistent experience, especially for gaming, TCL may have a slight edge.
TCL's strengths
More consistent picture processing: TCL often has a more refined local dimming algorithm, leading to better contrast and less blooming.
Superior gaming performance: TCL TVs are noted for having faster response times and more superior motion handling, which is beneficial for gamers.
Better HDR accuracy: TCL often has better PQ EOTF tracking and its overall HDR impact feels more controlled and consistently impressive.
Hisense's strengths
High raw brightness: Hisense TVs can be brighter, especially in SDR (standard dynamic range) content, which is great for very bright rooms.
Strong out-of-the-box accuracy: In some models, Hisense has shown slightly better out-of-the-box pre-calibration accuracy in both HDR and SDR modes.
Better upscaling: Some Hisense models have better upscaling for low-resolution content.
Which to choose
Choose TCL if: You prioritize accuracy, consistency, a balanced picture, and superior gaming performance over raw brightness, especially in HDR.
Choose Hisense if: You watch a lot of content in a very bright room, need the best possible SDR brightness, or prioritize out-of-the-box calibration accuracy over processing refinement. "
