I would go with the 1 KE SE that has a 1 year warranty, but return shipping paid by the seller. I bought this printer 6mo ago, and ended up exchanging it 3 times before I got one that had all the parts, worked right, and wasn't beat to hell by UPS. Return shipping on these is very expensive.
I also printed my own sides, so that saved me $80 over the K1C.

ehh, There's a pretty wide spectrum of how "hands on" you have to be between machines. I've had my X1C for years at this point and the only thing I've ever had to do is reapply grease (which it tells me when to do).

Right, if you actually WANT those features, then it's worth the price difference. But I'm probably just going to print PLA, so for me the cheaper option makes more sense.

Just got mine delivered the scanner has been beat to hell with over 200 hrs print time, dust everywhere, missing one leg and has the click of death during self. So anyone wondering if its refurbished. It likely just a client return that they package with new foam and ship it out to you.

That's disappointing, the description said the functions are tested before shipping out. If it's that bad, I would definitely consider returning it.

i agree, for $88 more u got quite a few useful additions. Although if someone literally all they do is pla, it prob wouldn't matter
