Just an FYI, i asked the rep and they said this promo rate only for 12 months, after that it will go up.

Most new customer pricing is limited to one year only. There is a 5-yr price lock. However, likelihood of continuing the first year discount when it ends is slim.

I have a negative balance on my fiber account due to multiple At&t credit card offers, would it be worth the trouble to open it again with my wife's name? Would At&t send a refund check for negative balance?

Yes, if you have negative balance for longer time AT&T usually sends a check.

Chat or talk to customer service. I am grandfathered as I have HBO Max included. If you have a newer plan, you can ask to upgrade and see if they give the same price for one year.
