If I'm doing so much caulking that I need a power tool to complete it, I'm using sausage tubes or a 28oz cartridge, not 10pz. This is a tool with limited practical functionality.

They make a conversion kit (DCE5801), but that's going to cost around another $100.

I have bought almost every DeWALT tool I see on sale, though I never used 80% of them, the ones I use are minimal stuff. Yet I don't feel like getting this.

It's great for running polyurethane caulk when it's cold. Especially when you have old ass hands and arthritis.

I once needed to run a dozen+ tubes of black jack roofing tar in 45-50 degree weather... I woulda had carpal tunnel and added considerable time to the job if not for a powered caulk gun. It quite literally saved my ass that day!

I just caulked an entire chicken coop and would've loved to have a powered caulk gun. Been waiting for a sale on this. Next going to clean up around the exterior of my house so i think this will quickly pay for itself.
