PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

No matter the price, I can't wrap my head around how we have been conditioned to PAY FOR ADS.
Just wait until you hear about this thing called cable TV...

You are correct. Free with the BCE. There is a similar "offer" that is confusing things.
So with BCE you get a free $7 credit a month.

Could I get this offer for me and one for my friend and pay both on my card so I'm only paying about $3 a month for both accounts?

Used to be 2.99$ for the bundle
What you are saying is that it used to be severely under-priced. $12 is too much for me, but $5 is still a great value.

Been on the phone waiting for AMEX for the past 15 minutes.
I have the "Everyday Card" which is no longer offered, dont think theres any special benefits so trying to see if I can switch to the BCE

edit - oh well, they just told me they can't "switch" my Everyday Card to the BCE. I would have to apply for a new card

You paid for ads if you ever had a cable TV subscription.

Last year it was $2.99 like HBO, and HBO is still $2.99 but for a year vs 3 months like last year.
I you have kids I maybe see value, but for someone that dose not I found even @2.99 was iffy. And now it has got worse, all new CEO has done was started streamlining shows thus making them crap and raised price so overall reducing value not raising it; hard pass for me.

You may not see the promotion because:
  1. Yes. These offers will be available for all new and eligible returning subscribers starting at 12 a.m. PST on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Disneyplus.com.
    https://abc7.com/post/disney-plus.../18186438/
  2. Per customer service:
"Yes, because at this point since you're subscription is still active and the promotion is currently for new/returning customers and that's the reason why your account doesn't qualify."

You can only access Hulu through the Disney app now correct on this deal? I tried logging into just Hulu and it doesn't work.
correct. just tried on mobile, desktop & apple tv - no dice on all three. met with a splash ad meant to confuse the non savvy into subscribing to hulu ON hulu via a link to set up your hulu. it's a class action lawsuit in the waiting.
