Is there any option to just get Hulu @ $3/mo this year? An extra $2 for D+ isn't a big deal, I'd rather keep it separate though.
For $3 I am likely in for HBO Max especially since they are running it the whole year now, and since hulu is becoming a menu option on a whole lotta Disney Starwars Marvel ESPN nuthin, $60/year, I think I'm out. I'll have kicked the habit with hulu by BF next year, when Disney+++ deal is $10/month.
The downside to HBO Max is you don't get 4k Dolbvision etc. without going to the currently very overpriced package. I had it last year in that crazy 5 step deal, that deal was a piece of work! But I didn't have the HDR TV then and I do now. And you can always just get some damn movie you want in the format you want and quit subscribing all together.
The worst one I think is Amazon Prime. I got booted off the free legacy add on account, and they offered me $14/year trial. The big add on was the free prime video. Oh wow let's see what's in there! Wait, what, everythings for sale? This sucks. Its like the discounted alexa i got. I plugged it in, it immediately tried selling me crap. I didn't trust it five different ways, and it was fairly useless. So I wiped it and straight to goodwill. And when they go to $15/month, I am outta there baby and we'll see what they offer me to stay. I spend a lot with them and they need to come up with a better solution than that crap. There's way too many other choices now.
And finally, I love how with all of them, "Ad Free" is just a joke. They even say so in the asterisk. And Hulu has so many ads now more than just a few years back I'm getting tired of it too.

Netflix would be nice, but any yearlong deals are long gone.
