I agree about the novelty wearing off fast, there are still some very cool games but it gets repetitive because of content. For regular games, video etc, it just isn't worth the headache (both literally and figuratively) to wear heavy headset, deal with battery life, etc.
I was thinking about Play Station VR instead of this, but at the time I didn't have PS5 so I bought Oculus which was a crazy good deal under $150. I would not pay $360 for this especially refurb unless you have bunch of friends they all are on it and you want to join and you will get your money's worth.
I got some joycons for Natural Locomotion and probably going to start a skyrim Vr, then JKXR - Jedi Academy, playthrough as well. I tipically only get time to either play or work out, now I can do both.

Same reason CC companies give you $200-$300 back for signing up. They hope they will get back more in fees/interest over the lifetime of you using they card (or the program in this case)... they are betting against you.
