It's just a used watch. Like citizens are normally well made but is not that are a pass to your kids thing right. Is probably ok to use for an year or two.

I've purchased from this seller many times. The watches are new. They come in a generic box but usually have the tags still on. My assumption is that they have to list as refurbished to avoid undermining the MSRP valuation.

From the item description: "... it has never been worn, tested to ensure it is fully functional and in complete GIFT-WORTHY condition.". So I would expect this factory refurb to last much longer than 1-2 year.

Folks c'mon. That's $130 for Automatic, Japanese-made watch. Not 10K Rolex. It's less than you pay for your off the mill Casio G-Shock or Timex. Even if you don't pass it to your kids, it's a nice watch to wear for yourself.

It looks real nice on the wrist and will certainly last you more than 1-2 years (I wore my Citizesn and Seikos in the past and always sold them in a few years).

They were 'refurbished', and they were spotless in their original boxes with tags. However the seconds hand on both do not align with the chapter ring markers and one of the minute markers was slightly misaligned on the cheaper one I bought. I kept both because they were so cheap, but they were clearly a factory second that didn't pass inspection for standard retail. They may be directly connected to Citizen or their distributors in some way because they seem to have an ongoing supply of them.

^This makes me feel better about the purchase, now if the pay in 4 cash comes back it makes this Citizen automatic a pretty good deal.
