This is an amazing open box deal on one of the best slim laptops out there. Combine with paypal 20% back offer and it's one heck of a deal. Battery life is great, high refresh rate screen, touch, high resolution. It's an LCD screen but it's still very good and the battery life is great on it also. They keyboard is fantastic and one of teh best I have used on a laptop. Ram is soldered (non-upgradable) but that allows it to be was faster than removable ram and 32 GB is plenty.

Amazing deal if you're cool with non-OLED. This is likely the best, or in the top 3 of best consumer level laptops without a dedicated GPU with an LCD. Pair it with the paypal pay-in-4 and you get an open-box excellent for under $500. It will be hard to beat this deal, I'm in for one.

Excellent deal! Just be careful double checking the laptop when you pick it up. Several months ago, I got an open box of the same model. It looked brand new even in retail box until I turned on the laptop. The motherboard appeared to be swapped with lower U7/16GB version even though the serial number on the bottom case was correct. I drove back to the store and spent quite a while to explain what happened and finally got a manager approval to return..

Agreed. I've had a number of these pass through my hands and have one myself, and the screen is one of the THE BEST standard LCD on a laptop.
A small tweak on the saturation (from 50 --> 60) using the Intel Graphics Software app makes it almost OLED (side by side with a real OLED laptop). Someone here I recommended it to called it "a game changer". Try it.

Just bought one to replace my 16GB version using the PayPal Pay-in-4 to save another $120.

I'm now 6 or 7 open-box excellent deals, and 7 years deep with laptops through Best Buy and they've always been in excellent condition with less than ~5 days on the hard drive. Shipping can be odd because they mostly show up with just the boxes they're sold in so if it get thrown around you're probably screwed. The only time I've been burned is on a fair condition that I showed up to a local store for. It didnt turn on and it seemed like it went directly from the return desk back on the shelf. I'll never buy a sealed laptop again in my life.
I have also gotten 8 or so open box laptops. Recently, I got an open box excellent Yoga 7 2-in-1 laptop that I checked the SSD on and it showed it had been powered on 14,000 times. Weird thing was it only showed about 22 hours of use and I checked with 2 different programs too. Then I also got a good condition one that seemed fine, but when I got home and checked the S/N on the bottom, I noticed there were no screws at all in the bottom cover (didn't even think to check the screws in the store since it was just not something I would have ever considered) and the bottom had been opened since there was a mark from a pry tool. So for me, it is about a 50% success rate on the open box units but worth it for the savings.

Either my luck has changed or they (BB) have gotten worse grading open box laptops lately. I buy a lot of open-box laptops and used to not have a problem. But when they ship them (instead of picking up at a local store) it's a real crap shoot! One time I got a box with only the charger in it. No laptop! Went to BB knowing they probably thought I was a thief, but they tracked it back to the BB store it shipped from and they found the laptop was still in their warehouse! I returned it regardless, but there's some real numb-skulls doing the grading process! Another time, the laptop was supposed to be this model, but had an old Yoga 2-in-1 with Windows 10 on it! Took it back too, and explained it was the wrong model, and they wound up putting it back up as an open-box again! They don't care.

it will not be in cart. it will be like a cash back that you can use to buy giftcards only.

Assuming that will come through email after purchase?

I bought the 14" oled refurbished one , sold by Newegg, on eBay this morning. Thinking about cancelling that order and getting this. Any suggestions?

I am seeing 30% for best buy next to an apple computer, but the fine print does not say anything about not available for other computers. not sure what to make of it as I have not used it for a long time.
They just show an image of something you might have looked at. The 30% should apply to everything not in the fine print, just ignore the image.

It's like other sites where it will show up as a recent shopping trip, usually takes a few hours to a day. The catch is that you have to cash it out for gift cards and it takes about 60 days before the amount is available.

I had both side by side to compare. The screen does not have as deep of blacks as the oled one but it's very good for an IPS screen. If it's the OLED that is 1920 x 1200, I will say that the lack of pixels is noticeable as well as the 60 HZ refresh rates at times. The keyboard on this one is better since the keys have a little more texture on them and the trackpad is much better. The OLED has a really loud clunky click to it when pressed. I also like the slightly larger screen but it one be quite as portable as the 14" if you tuck it away in a backpack a lot. There is a gamble on this since open box isn't always the best condition. With the easy extended returns at best buy, there isn't too much of a risk.

never looked at anything apple, but there are like 3 apple products in the picture. so this means 30% cashback (will buy GF cards later, that is OK) of an OLED TV since it does not seem they are excluded. might actually splurge then.
