What's the problem? These have a lifetime warranty on them. The tool behaved out of spec. It qualified for warranty replacement.

Make sure to reset these to the lowest torque setting when finished using it.

I recently returned one that was nearly 25 years old and used for many tire rotations that was acting wonky. Absolutely no questions asked or proof of purchase required, zero hassle, walked out with a new replacement. The new one checks out as very accurate.
