Of mother f... I just bought this for $39.99 from the Lego store but I did so only to bump me into the GWP category... which I already regret because the mini-knight castle is kinda meh.

does anyone know if i bought two of these (so there's actually eight reindeer, but still no rudolph), would the connectors work to link them all up?

Yes, if you look up on rebrickable there's free instructions to do this. You can also order a spare Rudolph through Lego pick a brick if you are aiming for that complete look

That's the very reason I didn't buy into this Insider Weekend, the sales were meh and the GWP for $250 is lame.

Yeah, I was there for the $170 one, but I was already at $230, and in my mind "I just need $20" .. and kind of rushed to get that. Here's hoping, there's a lot of desire for the miniknight thing, and I can make my money back on that... although at this point I am tempted to return it and the mini-knight thing.

AFAIK, you don't need to return the GWP, when you return the set you purchased with money. That's my experience. Check with customer service just to be sure.

But yeah, sit on that mini castle/knight set for a little bit and see what's happening on bricklink.
