Awesome OP and good prices from a great company. And great timing, some of my stuff is failing and needs selective updates. Repped!

Their Zwave stuff works incredibly well. All my smart wall switches are from them and never dropped off or caused issues.

Some of these wall switches are controlling Hue smart bulbs (redundant, I know), and the latency is imperceptible.

Everything is configured via ZwaveJs2MQTT running locally in Docker and connected to Home Assistant. I'm using a very old Nortek HUSBZB-1 for Zwave radio and it's still kicking just fine.

And I'd like to keep it that way, thank you.
To each their own. But with this stuff, your home does amazing things without belonging to google or amazon.

My house, duh! Are you unable to read? Man, you're almost as smart as my house!

It was a useless comment and the poster responded equally in jest.

Thanks! Did a bunch of reading up on the Zooz Z-Wave Water Valve Actuator and for $110, that's a great deal. Good reviews online and it doesn't require a plumber as those quotes came out to $800 - $1000, plus tearing into my drywall and the cost to fix that. This simply clamps onto the pipes and pairs with my Ring and the Ring leak sensors. Small price for extra peace of mine in case I'm traveling. Instead of getting a notification that my house is getting ruined and unable to do anything about it, the $110 should hopefully prevent that.

I had a double relay crapped out on me and contacted them for support/warranty replacement. They had me test the relay by putting failed one to reset and install it in different switch. I had to call my electrician to do this at my own cost (Electrician visit fee) and sent the pictures/videos of the relay not working. They still wanted me to test few other things but I told them I couldn't/wouldn't do what they asked me because I had to call the electrician AGAIN which will cost visit fee again. They were very hesitant about sending the replacement out to me without fulfilling their request to test. At the end, they wanted my credit card details before sending out the replacement unit and that's when I gave up on them. It was $15 relay that took way too much for a RMA replacement.

Every time I see these deals, I wonder if I should have gone Zooz instead of Lutron Caseta...

The Caseta hardware feels great, but even with waiting for sales, that stuff is expensive.

I've also run into acouple weird timing bugs [home-assistant.io]combining caseta with Home Assistant. I don't think these would exist with Z-wave only.

The only downside is that you need to have enough room. For most people it's not an issue. For me, it sadly is. 😞
