About this title:
  • As she braced for an IRS audit, middle-aged émigré Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh) felt a failure as wife, daughter, mother, and businesswoman. It was a heck of a time to discover that she could tap into the abilities of countless variant versions of herself across reality-and that she would need them to conquer a threat poised to collapse it all. Audacious fantasy-action farce from the makers of "Swiss Army Man" co-stars Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis. 132 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English. Two-disc set.

Counterview, this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. It stimulated your senses and really makes you think and appreciate the small things in life. Calling this "the worst movie I've ever seen" is a bit much, maybe its the only movie they've ever seen.

I understand movies are very subjective. I bought this with my Amazon digital rewards. It is the worst movie I've ever seen. There seemed to be no point. Even B movies have a plot, despite the bad acting, script and production. If I could remove it from my Prime list, I would immediately.

I'm actually in the middle, didn't hate it but would be hard pressed to name it best picture, it's more of a tableau on how weak and cucked movies are these days, and since hollywood can't be original anymore originality of the absurd is good enough I guess.

excellent film, excellent price, excellent 4k blu-ray!

rt 93%/79% critic/audience, imdb 7.7 mc 81/7.8 pretty consistent across the board, so i'm always glad to add more naysayers to my ignore list (particularly of the usual [insert tired complaint about originality but then doesn't support original films] folks)

I'm somewhere between "this is the worst movie ever" and "this is the best movie ever". I don't quite think I'm in the middle. I'm probably between "in the middle" and "this is the best movie ever". But now when I think about it, I would probably put myself somewhere between "this is the worst movie ever" and "in the middle". However, this movie does have it's merits. However there are several drawbacks which I feel concerned about. Overall, my feelings would put it somewhere between "this is the best movie ever" and "this is the worst movie ever". I just thought I would throw out this counterpoint since everyone seems to be saying they hated it, but there are different views.

I've never seen someone type so much and literally say nothing at all.

I'm with you on this...it was free for me to stream and we couldn't finish watching it.

I'm with the "this was overrated" crowd - funny parts existed, but over all felt like a waste of time

I did not like it either!! Have it here and willing to sell it. It has only been viewed once and it comes with the sleeve. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can work out a deal...

This is one of my favorite movies of all time, but I am really into quirky shows/stories, as well as anime, so that may be a large factor. My take is that this is the story of a mid-life woman having a complete breakdown from all of the stress in her life and not knowing how to handle it, while trying to connect to her daughter before the daughter cuts her out of her life. It's daydreams of "what could have been" disguised as multiversal comedy adventure. In the end, you are meant to wonder if any of it really happened.

This movie was absolute trash but the dildo fighting scene really took things to the next level in nonsensical stupidity.

This is a movie dripping with different schools of philosophy and the bigger picture. Like I Heart Huckabee's, this movie challenges it viewers. If you don't like movies that require thinking beyond the screen, if you don't like philosophy, I can understand why someone wouldn't like this movie. But to call it the worst movie of all time. Come on. That's junk hyperbole. Nonsensical? You didn't understand it and I'm betting you didn't try very hard to give it a chance. It's ok to not understand, but dismissing it completely outright, I think that's just stubborn.

This isn't a popcorn viewing experience. It's a full course meal. I take away something new with every viewing. Perhaps movies of this ilk are destined to the love it or hate it camp. Whatcha gonna do .. :/

Anyway - would recommend. 10 / 10 stars.

I was sorely disappointed when I paid $10 or 15 for the 4k bluray a few years ago after reading everyone bragging it up in every way. The multiverse is beyond played out and this was by far one of the worst "multiverse" movies I've seen thus far. 2/10 from me as well.
