This 83 inch LG C5 OLED bundle stands out for the big screen and the added $300 Mastercard gift card, with the included soundbar described as solid for most non audiophiles. Side by side, the G5 looks brighter with more contrast and stronger HDR performance, especially in very bright rooms, but the price gap was not seen as worth it. The main drawback is the deal has been changing, with the better soundbar and gift card promotion disappearing. Partner store delivery and LG service were also described as frustrating, so the bundle looks strongest when the price and extras line up.

  • The $300 Mastercard virtual gift card can make the overall bundle more tempting for shoppers.

    rwb0376

  • The included soundbar can be solid and sufficient for non-audiophiles who want simple audio.

    rwb0376

  • The 83-inch C5 can deliver a strong value when paired with a 15% coupon and Capital One shopping rewards.

    DJ7222

  • The G5 model can look noticeably better in HDR or Dolby Vision due to higher brightness and contrast.

    misel00

  • The $300 virtual gift card promotion can end, and shoppers may not find new gift cards available.

    ShrewdGuide9250dharans

  • The offer can worsen because the $799 soundbar bundle may be removed and replaced with a $299 soundbar alone.

    ShrewdGuide9250

  • Partner Store delivery and Angi installation can be problematic, including missed delivery dates and unhelpful customer service.

    escrowdog

  • LG service support can be difficult if a C5 develops issues, including canceled repair visits and a drawn-out refund process.

We also looked at both side by side. G5 definitely looked brighter with more contrast but for the price difference it wasn't worth it, Ordered 83" from partner site with 15% coupon and 9% Capital One shopping reward plus some cc cash back. Really good deal specially for 83" C5
if u don't mind me asking, how did u get the 15% coupon, are u able to share it with me, trynna put in an order. I would truly appreciate it if u could help out.

Im sad because I was just looking to see how to complete that promotion.
TV Stand shows out of stock, and $799 sound bar bundle is removed from the offer and they added $299 soundbar alone and finally they also ended the Gift card promotion before Black Friday. This is really frustrating for customers, and I desperately want to buy one. but the deal is getting worse. Hoping to show something for Black Friday. Let's wait and watch

Yes I agree. I was going to purchase it overnight but I will wait until Sunday and see if it changes.

I believe it's most noticeable in a very bright room.
Wouldn't that be Best Buy?

I dont see any new gift cards. I assume this part of the promotion is dead. I will double down on the comments that deals steadily got worse for the C5 77 and 83 in particular.

Yes, I was hoping that Black Friday will have good deals and didn't pull the trigger during the earlier deals. I feel like it's not going to be good anymore.

For anyone thinking the gift card promotion has returned, it hasn't... yet. And I sort of doubt that it does, as they likely have as many reviews as necessary by this point. And sadly, this means their best deals were reserved for early to mid November.

My two cents here: deals through the LG partner store are quite good and tempting but their customer service is the worst ever. I got a 77" C5 a couple months ago and after 2-3 weeks I started to notice a few white pixel flashes popping across the whole screen most noticeable in a black background. I called LG customer service and it has been a month and issue has not been resolved. They scheduled several tech repair visits and they canceled all, I sent videos and pictures of the issue and two technical repair services both said it was a defective panel. The last one said that they will need to take the TV to their shop for panel replacement, but LG told me that repair was supposed to be onsite and if not possible to repair at home then options will be given to me. But then they changed their mind and told me that I need to let them take the TV to their shop and let me watch a wall for 3-4 days and if they determined that the TV is unrepairable, then a replacement could be sent in a week or two. Absolutely a painful process to deal with their customer service reps (I spoke and chatted with 6-8 reps in this process). I ended up requesting a full refund as I don't want to deal with LG directly anymore in the future... still filling up forms and talking to reps for this to be approved. I would highly recommend to spend a couple more hundred dollars and buy a unit from Costco or Best Buy as they have also extended warranties and their customer service is a thousand times much more effective. You are advised.

Does LG do end of year sales and new year sales? After testing out both the 77" C5 and 83" B5, I think I want to return both and get an 83" C5

Resurrecting this old thread - anyone see the 83" C5 for under 3k lately? I'm building out a space for that TV and am hoping to get something for Superbowl Sunday but prices aren't budging.
