I was able to get a Red Pocket e-SIM number for $7.78 and successfully ported it in to Metro. Plus Metro total of $165.24. All in with eSIM port-in and Metro is $173.02. Now we wait for it to unlock lol

I got this promotion 2 days ago, I had to call 5 different stores around my area, all them were charging $400 - $500 price out of the door. Only on one I was able to get $300. They asked me for my ID and I had to verify myself with a selfie scanner, just like the website. FYI

What did you use for the zip code? Some people on the other deal had issues with that. There was mention of using 00000 or your local zip.

*edit: I see others mentioning they used their own zip when asked.

I'm going to try the GV but still deciding on which to get. The 13 or the 16e.

The future proofing for the 16e is better. It has a much better systems of radios for cell service. Downside is the screen is dimmer and the camera is limited. You do not have a wide angle and it loses clarity if you zoom in. The 13 will only have a couple more years of software updates.

After you activate this phone you can get a Samsung A9+ tablet plus 1 month service for $20 and a Samsung Galaxy watch 7 for $40 including 1 months service.
Would you happen to know if the tablet and/or the watch would be locked as well to Metro and require 365 days to be unlocked?

Edit: I also was just able to use Google voice number, that I just got, paid $3 to unlock and set up pin and submitted to transfer number using my local zip code and it worked fine. Waiting for my phone to be shipped. Very easy process.

How do you setup a new google voice number on same google account? It needs a phone number to link right?

Yeah, once the first google voice number gets ported out to metro, your voice account doesn't have that number anymore, then it allows you to get another voice number, so you use your phone number to link. So where is the problem here?

Google didn't ask for identify verification while getting the Google Voice number? Thanks.

Yeah, no verification asked, this is probably third or fourth voice number I have generated in this account in the past two years or so, all been used to port-in to metro. Probably google already knows too much about me and that's why didn't ask anything.

Avoided Google due to privacy, got Lyca mobile number for $5.50, worked well. I had to call Metro CS at the end, as the phone appeared to be activated but needed some action on their side to get calls and SMS working. Will replace a secondary Xr phone which I sold for $95.

EDIT: AVOID Lyca ! Lyca tries to charge the payment method even after the customer had already ported out and ended their service. If, only use a one time virtual credit card number.

I ordered two of these iphone 16e, 3 weeks apart.
Today when the first line expired as I never wanted to stay more than 1 month, just to get the phone and wait for the next 11 months. The second line, which still has 3 more weeks, is suspended by Metro asking me to pay for the first line. Damn you Metro...🤣 those are two different lines.

Has anyone tried 3 month service and did get 100$ card back? or need 4 month service to be active?
I would like to know more about this too.
I have 2 iphone 16e. Not sure if we just complete payment til the end of the 3rd month service on both lines and Metro would send us $200 giftcard, or we have to be on the 4th month.
