for small cartons/papers cutting this is okay. lets say, If you wish you break/cut the thick boxes (like TV or other heavy box with little thick) this almost can not do the job. it struck. you need to apply pressure to get it moving etc.. which we can ideally do with a pocket knife.
check any video of this product, you can see a small gap at the blade and the bottom base. that small gap only can go the cartons/papers to cut.
i personally see this is of no big lift compared with a knife. on the top of it, charger is proprietary, so you need to keep it safe in order use it. this is big weakness in my view.
