This is a good little tool within reason. I purchased a few months ago when Best Buy had it for $20. Project farm rated it fairly high. I really wanted the Skil 12v version that I believe was PF highest rated cutter but for some reason Skil was out of these everywhere in the same time period. Summary, the Worx is great little tool within reason as mentioned and happy with the purchase at $20. I did finally get ahold of the Skil 12v version and it does cut quicker than the Worx but also costs 3-4x this sale price of $20! I wouldn't have purchased the Skil had I not already been into the 12v platform with other tools.

really great deal, highly recommended and rated better (and cheaper) than the fanttik per PF:

This would be really slick if it was usb c. I don't want to track down a random charger when it's time to charge it.

i share my personal experience, some may not accept/like, but here is few weeks of usage:

for small cartons/papers cutting this is okay. lets say, If you wish you break/cut the thick boxes (like TV or other heavy box with little thick) this almost can not do the job. it struck. you need to apply pressure to get it moving etc.. which we can ideally do with a pocket knife.

check any video of this product, you can see a small gap at the blade and the bottom base. that small gap only can go the cartons/papers to cut.

i personally see this is of no big lift compared with a knife. on the top of it, charger is proprietary, so you need to keep it safe in order use it. this is big weakness in my view.

Agreed. I've tried both and this is way more ergonomic. The fanttik causes hand fatigue in a short while of using. The worx can be unlocked with the index finger unlike the other which needs constant use of the thumb in an uncomfortable extended position.

Got this and it works as advertised but you still need a box cutter to cut the tape first to make room for this cutter. Another drawback is the proprietary charger instead of USB-C. If I have to buy it again, I would look for a unit with USB-C charging.

They've been making this cutter for the better part of 20 years now and nothing has changed about it except they'll let anybody slap their name and color scheme on it and call it theirs. That bring said, the two that I own work perfectly fine, but they'll never release this design with usb-c charging.

I have a similar tool and you can honestly process a cardboard box at least twice as fast using a box cutter. Lots of fiddling and forcing using these things. I think some people like them for cutting fabric and leather and crap like that.

i bought this last year and im so mad i didnt know about it earlier -- we have a ton of boxes to cut every two weeks (thank you, wife's spending habits) and in the past i've used only a box cutter and sheer will power and took me hours. with this thing i am done within 30 minutes and most of the time its figuring out where to put the pieces of cardboard. i couldn't recommend this thing enough -- it's a no brainer!!!

I have it and it works but not always the best or the best choice or the fastest. Sometimes a box cutter just works better. For packages I use the Fiskars Power Arc Easy Action shears, those things are a beast, nothing has defeated them yet.

Yep, if you misplace that charger you are toast. I keep it plugged into one of my power banks at all times just so it never disappears.

I have this for a year now. I removed the lock so that I can just press and it activates. I have misplaced the charger and currently can't use it because of the stupid proprietary design and contacting worx is showing to be a hassle.
