What's wrong with Newegg as shipper?
Egg isnt the same as what it used to be. Hard drives are just thrown into a box and never really packaged well. RMAs are a huge PTA and almost every other drive I've ordered from them in the past has failed.
Do yourself a favor find another company that knows how to package products and had a CS team that cares.

Is this good or bad?
Bad-ish? Back in the first half of the 2010s, Seagate hard drives' premature failure rates spiked hard across the board and they pretended like nothing was wrong. There were class action lawsuits and their reputation hasn't fully recovered even 10y later in the eyes of some. Their barracuda line had some of the worst rates. Having lived through it, I certainly wouldn't touch Seagate with a 10 ft pole even now, just like I won't touch Hyundai or Kia. Make of that what you will.

it's not NAS server quality but for average consumer it's good. it is also 7200 series drive. as with any drive, failure rate depends on use case and environmental factors, so it could last any where between 2-5 years average
