This is a strong price on the WD Black SN850X 2TB, a fast Gen4 NVMe drive with onboard DRAM and TLC flash that sits near the Samsung 990 Pro for everyday use. The drive has a solid reliability track record in long-term use, and the no heatsink version is easy to pair with a separate cooler if needed. The main catch is Walmart pricing and fulfillment, which can vary by store, zip code, and shipping versus pickup, with some orders getting canceled or stuck. A good value if you can find the right local listing.

  • Store pickup can be ready quickly when nearby stock exists, enabling fast installation after purchase.

    bosfordjdEdEd1190

  • The deal can stack with the HOLIDAY10 code in some regions, lowering the effective pickup price to about $129.

    EdEd1190EdEd1190

  • The rewards offer can be honored by submitting receipts if rewards do not appear after activation steps.

    TheFizzTheFizz

  • The price and cash-back offers can change during the day, so refreshing may surface higher cash-back percentages.

    TheFizzBlueguy777

  • The SN850X includes onboard cache and DRAM, which supports strong consumer NVMe performance for typical workloads.

    bosfordjd

  • The listing picture indicates the SSD does not include a heatsink, so a separate heatsink purchase may be needed.

    shmedSlickdeezee

  • Regional pricing and channel pricing can differ, and the $139 pickup price may not display for many nearby stores.

    Steven409Steven409

  • Shipping orders can get stuck in "Placed/Preparing" for days, while store pickup may work faster.

    EdEd1190

  • Delivery fulfillment can run out when stock is low because items may not be picked until close to delivery time.

    wdslkd

  • Some SN850x units reportedly show critical warnings early or disappear and require reboots.

Does anyone know if this model have heatsink? Item description doesn't say
You can see from the picture that it does not have a heat sink. Also, models that do have one explicitly call it out in the product name usually.

I got the 50/50 deal, but it looks like all the limited time deals that were there earlier are gone. Maybe they cycle them. No clue.

They cycle them a lot. There were people doing this for LG G5 TVs earlier this year, some people would get $400 CB, some got $1,100 CB, it was a wild day.

Delivery seems to be from your local store so YMMV. I still have it available for delivery as my store has it in stock. Walmart uses their store and employees for delivery of some online orders.
No they use a shitty service call SPARK. They blindly deliver to houses based on a map/GPS rather than look at the house address.

Yes. This one doesn't come with a heatsink though, you can purchase one for around $10 on Amazon though.

How do you get that?
Use COS browser extension, search "Walmart WD_BLACK SN850X" while selecting "$100 - $200" price range and it will be the first thing to show up in the search results. However, the T&C say you need to sign up as a new customer for Walmart Marketplace so I'm not sure if it's even the same thing, but that's all I got.
