This is a strong price on the WD Black SN850X 2TB, a fast Gen4 NVMe drive with onboard DRAM and TLC flash that sits near the Samsung 990 Pro for everyday use. The drive has a solid reliability track record in long-term use, and the no heatsink version is easy to pair with a separate cooler if needed. The main catch is Walmart pricing and fulfillment, which can vary by store, zip code, and shipping versus pickup, with some orders getting canceled or stuck. A good value if you can find the right local listing.

Common Questions (5)

The HOLIDAY10 code can drop the price from $139 to $129 when the store or delivery setup allows it. Changing zip codes and switching between store pickup and delivery can reveal stores where the code applies.
EdEd1190 EdEd1190 Steven409
No, the $139 price appears to be regional and store-dependent. Some areas only show higher prices like $159 or $179, while others can find $139 by manually switching stores or zip codes.
Steven409 EdEd1190 Steven409
Yes, shipping orders can sit in "Placed" or "Preparing," and some orders have been canceled after Walmart first offered shipping. Store pickup has been faster for many buyers, especially when local stock is limited.
EdEd1190 tecnocris wdslkd
No, this listing does not include a heatsink. The product image shows a bare drive, and a PS5-compatible heatsink can be bought separately for around $10 if needed.
shmed Slickdeezee
It is a 2TB Gen4 TLC NVMe drive with onboard DRAM/cache, and $139 is considered a strong current-market price. It is also described as roughly on par with the Samsung 990 Pro for typical consumer workloads.

Does anyone know if this model have heatsink? Item description doesn't say

You can see from the picture that it does not have a heat sink. Also, models that do have one explicitly call it out in the product name usually.

Same here. I just have 20% back. Will refresh few time to see different deal.

I got the 50/50 deal, but it looks like all the limited time deals that were there earlier are gone. Maybe they cycle them. No clue.

They cycle them a lot. There were people doing this for LG G5 TVs earlier this year, some people would get $400 CB, some got $1,100 CB, it was a wild day.

Delivery seems to be from your local store so YMMV. I still have it available for delivery as my store has it in stock. Walmart uses their store and employees for delivery of some online orders.

No they use a shitty service call SPARK. They blindly deliver to houses based on a map/GPS rather than look at the house address.

How do you get that?

Use COS browser extension, search "Walmart WD_BLACK SN850X" while selecting "$100 - $200" price range and it will be the first thing to show up in the search results. However, the T&C say you need to sign up as a new customer for Walmart Marketplace so I'm not sure if it's even the same thing, but that's all I got.
