In my experience, the mini chainsaw works alot quicker. But they both get the job done if using a pruning blade on the recip saw.

Take out the battery when you did the job. Oil chain & take oil out.

I've got one also on the last deal posted. Used quite a bit and I would say that the chain goes bad pretty quickly. Maybe just my hands experience with this...
