I hate what has happened to HDD prices lately, but for a midsize and relatively reputable drive, this seems somewhat reasonable @ $17/TB.
I've had the itch to upgrade my old 3TB WD Red that's been acting as an NVR drive for 6+ years now. I probably should considering its power-on hours.

Edit: B&H Photo has it for $170 too if you want to avoid Amazon - this is probably who they price matched: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr..._7200.html

B&H is usually pretty snappy on shipping, too. I get stuff from them faster than I get from amazon as a non-prime member.

..yeah, for an extra $110. Not everyone needs all that space.

And the 12TB is $200, which is $15 per TB for the extra capacity.

Nice. If their "Sign up for 10% off coupon" thing works on already discounted prices that might be worthwhile.
Edit: Don't bother trying the above. It actually increases the price because it takes the 10% off the normal price lol.

Saw the $200 12TB @ B&H but it's out of stock.

B&H also allows checkout with PayPal so you can stack the 20% cash back pay in 4 offer as well to make things extra slick.

Two of these plus a synology DS225+ comes to $530 after PayPal cashback on B&H for a slick basic nas setup.

Extra 10% does not work.

"This promotion applies on the Original Price. Any product discount will be removed.
This Coupon code may not be stackable with other Coupon codes"

I would prefer to order from Amazon (5% points), but shipping is out 3+ weeks.

FYI I've avoided this specific 10 GB serial number due to the purported loudness of the drives. May not bother everyone esp if your NAS is in a closet.

Those reviews are 4 years old. I read in the Amazon reviews "WD RED PLUS 12TB (JUST the 12TB) is helium filled and very quiet", so for $30 more you get 2TB increase and low noise. Anyone know the truth here?

The damn prices don't drop much. I got lucky and picked up 3 exos hard drives of 14th for the same price each. I wish I had bought more now. AI is screwing everything up
