This Legion T7 is a high end gaming tower that can be a strong value if the listing really includes the RTX 4070 Ti Super. The exact system has been running solidly for months in multiple reports, with standard components, a modular power supply, and enough room for 3 NVMe drives, 4 SATA drives, and 4 RAM slots. The main caution is the listing confusion, since the title and description disagree on the GPU and the Ti Super should have 16GB. Lenovo Vantage updates, especially BIOS updates, are also flagged as risky, so manual updates and stress testing are the safer path.
Common Questions (5)
This exact i9-14900KF / RTX 4070 Ti Super system has been reported as solid for 10 to 14 months with no crashes or BSODs after early Windows-update issues. It can still be worth stress testing, especially the CPU and GPU, because prior Legion systems have had GPU-related failures.
The listing text and buyer reports point to the RTX 4070 Ti Super, but the title and some listing fields show RTX 4070 Super instead. The Ti Super should be 16GB, so a listing that never mentions 16GB may indicate a typo or a lower-spec 4070 Super.
It appears to use mostly standard components, including a modular PSU and a normal motherboard layout rather than unusual Dell-style shapes. The main uncertainty is the water cooling, and Lenovo can be picky about RAM compatibility.
Yes. BIOS and other updates are better done manually, because Lenovo Vantage updates have been flagged as a source of problems on this system.
Yes. If the item is not as described, eBay can refund you, though returning the system is still a hassle.

Link to my previous comment on the experience. Computer has run flawless for the last 10+ months.

What's the issue with your GPU? I seldomly update drivers, I find when I did that in the past, it would introduce issues. On my PC before this one, if I had GeForce Experience installed, I would crash multiple times a day, didn't matter if it was a fresh Windows install and manual driver install, there was some sort of hardware or software conflict that just broke everything when GFE was installed.
It can take a fair bit of investigating to figure out the cause, but WinDBG is a good start if you are getting dmp files. But I can report, this specific system does appear to be solid, at least with the intel microcode update right out of the box on a fresh 14th gen i9.
oh and what makes this issue infuriatingly frustrating is the fact the MOBO lenovo decided to use on these systems, do not support ANY onboard graphics whatsoever. so when the gpu fails, it fails. youve no other resort. hopefully they changed that on these but that was shocking.
although with this one, i suppose you wont have to worry about that since the CPU included doesnt have a graphic chip to begin with.
In my case, it was GeForce Experience causing the issue. I had previously uninstalled GFE because it was failing and sometimes crashing on driver updates. A couple years went by and I reinstalled it for shadowplay. I crashed while gaming a few times, but nothing too crazy. Then I played the D4 beta's in Spring 2023. I was crashing/restarting 4-5 times a day for several months. I didn't get many dmp logs but the ones I did pointed at a combo of nvlddmkm.dll and Windows TDR which led me to uninstalling GFE and I stopped crashing.
Not saying that'll fix the problem, but both Nvidia and Windows have a habit of screwing things up more often than not.

It usually not the motherboard, its usually a kf chip without a gpu to begin with.
Honestly while it does kind of suck not to have an igpu for encoding/decoding help, its easy to buy a 10-15 dollar used barebones radeon on ebay as trouble shooting backup, you should have one regardless.
