This Legion T7 is a high end gaming tower that can be a strong value if the listing really includes the RTX 4070 Ti Super. The exact system has been running solidly for months in multiple reports, with standard components, a modular power supply, and enough room for 3 NVMe drives, 4 SATA drives, and 4 RAM slots. The main caution is the listing confusion, since the title and description disagree on the GPU and the Ti Super should have 16GB. Lenovo Vantage updates, especially BIOS updates, are also flagged as risky, so manual updates and stress testing are the safer path.

I bought one last year this time. It has been going strong. Check online about how to stress test the CPU.

I've been running the crap out of mine (this exact system) for 14 months, first 2 months were horrible due to Microsoft pushing out back-to-back garbage Windows updates, but the last 12 months have been great, haven't crashed/BSOD since the bad Windows updates.

What's the issue with your GPU? I seldomly update drivers, I find when I did that in the past, it would introduce issues. On my PC before this one, if I had GeForce Experience installed, I would crash multiple times a day, didn't matter if it was a fresh Windows install and manual driver install, there was some sort of hardware or software conflict that just broke everything when GFE was installed.

It can take a fair bit of investigating to figure out the cause, but WinDBG is a good start if you are getting dmp files. But I can report, this specific system does appear to be solid, at least with the intel microcode update right out of the box on a fresh 14th gen i9.
straight failure. error log shows the notorious nvlddmkm.sys erorr - something that is plagued with the legion systems (albeit more so with laptops if you search) that no one is really able to pin down to the issue. theres just some very weird software / driver compatibility between the components used in my system where i did RMA one completely dead GPU, and the new one is just encountering the same issue, 3 months out of warranty.

see above for detail, cpu was 12900k.
oh and what makes this issue infuriatingly frustrating is the fact the MOBO lenovo decided to use on these systems, do not support ANY onboard graphics whatsoever. so when the gpu fails, it fails. youve no other resort. hopefully they changed that on these but that was shocking.

although with this one, i suppose you wont have to worry about that since the CPU included doesnt have a graphic chip to begin with.

That's actually the issue I had with my previous system with a GTX 1070, "nvlddmkm.dll" I believe. In my case, it caused an issue with a Windows Timeout Detection and Recovery. Graphics driver would crash and fail to recover within 2 seconds. Usually it'd go to black screen and restart or black screen and fans would go 100%.

In my case, it was GeForce Experience causing the issue. I had previously uninstalled GFE because it was failing and sometimes crashing on driver updates. A couple years went by and I reinstalled it for shadowplay. I crashed while gaming a few times, but nothing too crazy. Then I played the D4 beta's in Spring 2023. I was crashing/restarting 4-5 times a day for several months. I didn't get many dmp logs but the ones I did pointed at a combo of nvlddmkm.dll and Windows TDR which led me to uninstalling GFE and I stopped crashing.

Not saying that'll fix the problem, but both Nvidia and Windows have a habit of screwing things up more often than not.

It usually not the motherboard, its usually a kf chip without a gpu to begin with.

Honestly while it does kind of suck not to have an igpu for encoding/decoding help, its easy to buy a 10-15 dollar used barebones radeon on ebay as trouble shooting backup, you should have one regardless.

You only get 20% back on the first $1250, but you can use the pay in 4 for anything up to $1500.

I need to get my son (13) a new computer after his gaming laptop died (done with laptops for him). He mostly plays Arc Raiders, Fortnite, and Battlefield. This seems like a pretty good deal. So the 20% Paypal deal will work, but only for the $1250

Also, does anybody think there will be better deals on Cyber Monday?

Can't get the PayPal Pay Later 20% (aka Pay in 4) to work when buying this. Anyone else get it to work? I tried everything and I'm beginning to think the merchant doesn't accept this payment method.

@UniqueCarpenter8266 You sure about that? I haven't read the whole PayPal thread about the 20%, but some people are saying it doesn't work for any order over $1250

I had an order for $1600 total and it worked. Sometimes you may not qualify for the financing or you need to do some tricks like delete Paypal as a payment method

For the record, on eBay I had a $1288 product in the cart and the Pay in 4 wasn't showing up so I removed the item and tried a smaller $150 item but the Pay in 4 still didn't show up. It looks like eBay may have disable Pay in 4 which sucks because this 20% off would have made this ultra slick.
