This compares favorably with Used prices on Reverb, and the BF sale price at Fender's site ($331)

FGW is a very reasonable dealer to work with btw - I've ordered a few guitars from them new (all previously through Reverb)

Also, the color (which I wasn't crazy about from the online photos) is actually a bit darker in person, with some gray mixed in.

"This is a result of how this model is wired and is normal. You'll notice the signal muted in position 1 with the volume pot pulled up. Because the function is putting two pickups in either series/parallel or the two pickups in-phase/out-of-phase, these controls only function when in position 2 where both pickups are active. We do not recommend pulling the volume knob up in any other position, as you have noticed it will cut the volume."
From a different perspective, this can be seen as a bonus feature as it can act as a kill switch a la Eddie Van Halen, Tom Morello, Jonny Greenwood, etc. as shown in this review:

After receiving it, the only thing I needed to do was to adjust the saddle heights and do a minor intonation, the neck needed no adjustment. Fret edges overall are smooth, and very happy with the tones from both pickups.
.
At $270 with the code, IMO it is still a good deal.

It looks brand new and I actually really like this colorway, but that is subjective.
I can confirm it doesn't have a "used" mark stamped on the back of the headstock and the serial number is intact.
I was curious if your serial number can be found on the fender serial number lookup website.
https://serialnumberloo
I currently have 3 Squiers (this, a 2010 Classic Vibe 60's Tele Custom, and 2020 Precision PJ Bass) and the serial number on this Paranormal Offset Tele SJ is the only one that doesn't turn up a result.
I figure it was because Franklin purchased it direct from Fender to refurb it and maybe they scrub it at that point, but I wanted to see if anyone else can find theirs on the website.
