Butter is expensive and isn't always available to people using food banks. Annie's calls for added 3 Tbsp of milk. I've subbed oatmilk before and my kids ate it. Compare that to Kraft's instructions that call for 4 Tbsp of butter and 1/4 c milk. Last time I checked Winco and a few other brands were similar to Kraft. For this reason I prefer to donate Annie's.

Looks like a good deal? I'll let others respond, but thanks for posting. Perfect donation for the upcoming food bank I think.

Good deal for sure, but 48 boxes is also quite the commitment.

A box of Kraft Mac and cheese at 7.5oz goes for .83 a box at Sam's Club, best price I could find in 10 seconds. ChatGPT says: Let's compare them on a cost-per-ounce basis so we're not fooled by box size.7.5 oz box at $0.83 • Cost per ounce = 0.83 / 7.5 = $0.1107 per ounce6 oz box at $0.58 • Cost per ounce = 0.58 / 6 = $0.0967 per ounceDifference • 0.1107 - 0.0967 = $0.014 per ounce cheaper • Percentage difference = 0.014 / 0.1107 ≈ 12.6% cheaperBottom lineThe 6 oz box is the better deal. It's about 13 percent cheaper per ounce than the 7.5 oz box.

I'm going to donate 36 of these, so this is a good point. Purchased.

They never really expire, so not really. If you have kids, these will be gone in 6-months.

I guarantee the powdered cheese can go bad. I recently ran into that problem with my kiddo.

The last time I bought one of these my toddler decided he no longer liked the "yellow cheese" and only wanted white. Needless to say, these taste pretty good

These taste ok but first, to cook them, you need to combine some tapioca powder with water and microwave it. When you open the cup it will look like some clear slime with weird slimy consistency then after you drop the powdered cheese. If you can handle that then ok. Great to feed kids that don't have to prep it then get grossed out during prep but it might turn off some people who have to prep and eat it.

Most likely, it was only in his mind, and not reality.

I've had the powdered cheese go bad, the powder had gotten clumpy and when prepared it just tasted wrong. No one wanted to eat it. It was at least a year past the best by date, so I don't fault the company, but there is a limit as to how long you can store this.

#ConfidentlyIncorrect

Sure it normally lasts past the expiration, but it's very possible for it to go bad. Especially the cheese.

Steve1989 has definitely encountered bad powdered cheese.

I assure you it was bad in reality and not just "in his head". Powdered cheese most certainly goes bad.
