These have voltage drop issues with long cables so consider your mounting location prior to purchase

I am reading the cam plus lite is like a security guard who works for 1 minute and then takes a 5-minute break; and that it is better to just get a really good SD card.

You don't lose cam plus lite if you add a newer camera. It will remain active on the camera you currently have. If you REPLACE your camera that currently has cam plus lite it will not transfer to the newer camera.

You don't lose it for the old cameras. It's just not available for the new cameras.
But with about 20 cams, I went with the $100 per year Cam Plus Unlimited anyway: Pretty good deal when you have a lot of cams. I also have SD cards in all cams, so I have both cloud events and local recording, which I have set to continuous recording on a some cameras.

In theory, but it doesn't work. The interface is flawed. Unless the video is instantly queued up by the SD card (it never can be) it'll say video unavailable. This is because it takes the system a second or 3 to load the SD video. Then the only way to view the video is to manually click around to find it on the timeline.

As opposed to how it's supposed to work where you touch the Event and it instantly plays

received mine today and had no problem setting up rtsp.. just follow the instructions https://wyze-beta.s3.us-west-2.am.../rtsp.html
Reboot the camera after completing the steps, my rtsp stream didn't start working until I did that.
