I've seen some chatter about it in different threads. It would have been more popular if they allowed online enrollment.

If I go to a CVS store, I would enroll in it, but im not going out of my way to reach a store.

in the HD section:
https://slickdeals.net/f/18861781-begins-nov-27-one-year-cvs-extracare-membership-50-off-24-year-inc...
One person said that they went to CVS today and it initially came up as $24 but then it went up to $48 and the store couldn't fix it so they said to come back tomorrow. Isn't this so typical of CVS?

Thanks! So far, so good. The turkey finished thawing and is currently roasting. All sides prepared and just need to be warmed.

The Packers/Lions game just ended and our home-state team, the Packers won. so hubby is happy.

Stay safe to those of you heading out for black Friday shopping.
Wisconsin is sooo cold. Well, almost anyplace is compared to Southern California. It's a nice day here but very windy.

Does anybody have an incredible feast planned for Thanksgiving? I want to hear all about it.
I cooked a ham, a turkey breast, dressing/stuffing, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, green beans w/potatoes, a german chocolate cake, a poundcake and a white chocolate, raspberry cheesecake and now......I am very tired😂

I'm cooking, but don't know how incredible it will be! It will be small, as usual - me, hubby and our son will come over. Since I get slower all the time, I actually started some prep on Monday but still seems as if there is lots to do today and am kind of sorry I thought I could do this all.

Anyway, for appetizers we'll have a sausage, cheese, and cracker platter; chocolate covered almond clusters I made; and a package of some kind of snack/trail mix stuff. Seems like a good mix of savory, sweet and a bit of salty.

Main course will consist of a turkey (still somewhat frozen -ugh- even though it came out of the freezer on Sunday so it's currently sitting in cold water in the sink), stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and cranberry gel.

And for dessert there's pumpkin pie (baked yesterday) with cool whip.

Nothing too fancy but we'll all be full when done. I'm hoping it all turns out good.

Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I like your appetizers. I never think to do appetizers. Don't feel bad about your turkey. I moved my ham from the freezer to the fridge at the beginning of the week. Last night, it was still frozen solid. Thankfully it all worked out today. Glad yours did too.

Has anybody done the CVS Extra Care Plus offer for Black Friday? 1 year for $24. I'm surprised that there's not more talk about it.
Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a great deal, spend $24 get $120. When you look at it like that, it's easy to think to yourself, that's a no-brainer. On the flipside, lately the sales have been terrible. Last week I struggled to spend/roll $12 EB. Do I wanna add another $10?

It's not an easy choice. I'm out of CVS right now and I don't want this offer to suck me back in. On the other hand, it's hard to turn down free money.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Your desserts sound incredible. Glad your meal all came together as well. One way or another, it always seems to work out.

Funny thing about having appetizers (or snacks as my hubby calls them). Just over seven years ago when we moved to MN from PA to be closer to our only child (after living apart for almost 20 years), I started having him over for meals about once a week or so. The 'snacks' were a good way (aka bribe) to get him to come over earlier and we'd have some extra time to talk, play games, etc. It eventually became an every time thing, which has become an excellent way to spend extra time with him. I love it! as probably only a mother can.

Interestingly, I noticed how you wrote dressing/stuffing. Those two terms have always been interchangeable to me. But when we moved to PA I was introduced to a new term - many neighbors (especially those referred to as Pennsylvanian Dutch) called the mixture 'filling' and some even added mashed potatoes to their bread mixture. This was all new to me at the time.

Windy here too in MN, but also cold. Temps in the mid 20's with a wind chill of nine degrees. And the forecast is calling for a bunch of snow starting late Friday night into Saturday morning. Depending on who is reporting, anywhere from six to over 12 inches. I am not ready for that at all. Good thing I don't go out much these days. I'll stay toasty having warm oatmeal for breakfast and drinking hot cocoa. Heck, I even have some marshmallows left from a recent fire pit evening our son had us over for so extra yummy. And we have lots of leftovers from today so no reason to go out for food either.

I've been binge watching the first season of Fargo today. I don't know how you deal with all of that bad weather.

I'm in the south so we say dressing but some think I mean salad dressing😂. Filling is a term that I never heard used before. Learned something new today.

Love the snacks with your son. My only child is a son and food is love language so I totally get it.

My favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal is the dressing. I'd be so bummed if it was salad dressing lol.

What was it that they were lining up for at 2 a.m.? I understand the chance to win things or get the gifts they hand out to early shoppers, just not that early.

There were alot of people scoping out the "golden ticket" at lowes, and i keep seeing more and more pics, so it was legit. But there were others that wanted the bags at target and kohls, that you had a chance of winning like $100gc.
