Yup, great price indeed for a newly launched full frame camera with open gate recording and 7k60p. I was surprised too!

Well, I thought for security reasons we need 2FA to lock the gates. And no one I know has 7k TVs yet (most don't even have 4k)...so who is watching that?

Why are you even naysaying here when you aren't even a user of a camera like this? It's just unecessary negativity. But, to answer your question, you dont record above 4k to play it above 4k - you do it so that you have more data in your recording which will allow you to downsample to 4k or whatever otehr resoiution in post, which gives you a beter quality final product (sharper, more details, etc) and allows for obtaining higher quality crops.
