Man, I remember playing the original Worms in high school 30 years ago. We had it installed on the computers in our Drafting class, and our teacher would let us play if we completed all our AutoCAD drawings for the day.

I've never played worms, but spent more hours of my life playing scorched earth than I care to admit. Is worms in the same vein?

it's been so long since I've played but it was cartoony, and had more mobility and available close range combat/weapons.

I forgot about Scorched Earth! There was another game kinda similar but with planets, you had to take into account gravity. I remember playing it on Ten.net. Any idea of the name of that one?

Edit; Warheads or Warheads SE. Google AI was trying to tell me it was Total Annihilation....not even close but I did waste many hours on that one as well.

Long live the concrete donkey weapon. Those who know... know. The super sheep weapon is legit too. 😅

Doesn't come with any of the DLCs but cheaper than Steam to get individually. Best plan is to get this Humble Bundle and then get the DLCs one of these days if they have a bundle sale. Currently, you can skip the DLCs since it's generally just additional content and nothing must have.

Those with DLCs are redundant any way. For classic Worms, you only need WMD (or Armageddon if you are a sweaty gamer who wants to play against top players), and neither of those have DLCs.
Out of the rest, Rumble is dead, and only Ultimate Mayhem and maybe Crazy Golf are worth playing.

Not sure how most of the entries in this long running series rate, but I consider Worms on the Dreamcast to be one of the top-5 'couch' multiplayer games in the history of video games.

Worms 2 and Armageddon were REALLY fun. You could play on a server OR if you had friends over you could all take turns sitting at the computer in a local death match. And all the different non-PC "accent" options... Great times!
