I've had the instant version of this before and it was really nice for music festivals over a year or two, but at some point the front zipper just would not stay zipped (like it would zip but then come apart in the areas where it had just zipped) so I can't really recommend for long term use. At this price it could be worthwhile for a handful of trips though.

It stopped working a night when it was raining too so I'm still salty about that. Luckily I always bring a backup tent but it was really frustrating trying to fix the zipper in the rain...

Did you stay cool in this tent? Essentially debating if I can survive using this tent without an ez-up/canopy at a music festival

It's darker, but it's not going to replace a canopy in the sun. An aluminet cover could get you closer to a canopy, but for most festivals in the sun, you need an air gap that a canopy gives you for the best experience. There are some other options besides using the typical 10x10 canopy though if space is an issue.

Yeah I am trying to explore options as I am starting to fly for festivals, so can't really transport a canopy. so starting to think about options for when I fly and can pack into a checked bag to stay cool in my tent when it is sitting in the sun to be able to sleep in without overheating after dancing till dawn
