Community Reviews
This M12 combo kit stands out mainly because it pairs the drill and impact driver with two 6Ah batteries, which gives it more run time and makes the battery pack the real value here. The larger XC packs are especially appealing for brushless or Fuel tools, and the price is viewed as strong for that battery capacity. The main knock is that the tools are not Fuel and not brushless, so the kit feels mismatched and less compelling than buying a Fuel drill or a different bundle. It is a better fit if the batteries matter more than the tool tier.
The deal is especially attractive when you specifically want 6Ah batteries, since those packs are generally very expensive.
The kit can be a practical way to get larger 6.0Ah packs for M12 Fuel tools, because Fuel tools use less energy than brushed tools.
The 6.0Ah battery option can support longer runtime goals, and some buyers prefer XC 6.0 packs for capacity and run time per charge.
The Hackzall included in the bundle is described as a nice add-on, which can improve usefulness beyond just the drill and impact.
The non-Fuel, non-brushless tool lineup is criticized as weak, sluggish, and not worth buying.
The value can be undermined if the included tools are not Fuel versions, since some buyers would rather buy a Fuel hammer drill kit and add a 6.0Ah battery separately.
The kit may feel like a mismatch because subcompact, lightweight tools are paired with 6Ah batteries, which can add bulk.
Battery performance is questioned, with claims that the batteries bog down quickly during use.

the hackzall is nice but i would rather buy the kit with 2x 6ah batteries and get the hackzall separately. i've seen the fuel version of that hackzall go for about $60 before.
$149 price is good, the fist post linked something for $199 and come with 2 extra tools which both not great if not fuel version.
I been looking to get into the 12v line and I bought some already. If I had to do it again, I would just get the m12 fuel hammer drill tool (battery and charger) for $99.99 and buy the extra 6.0ah battery for $49. Sure you don't get the impact tool but I rarely use mine and the fuel versions gets very high praises for being comparable to 18v variants. This is just my use case. Everyone has different needs.
