That's a good deal, but the 6ah batteries make the original post unique. Those batteries are generally very expensive.

the only thing worth even looking at in this dog shit sale. the rest of the sale is a joke. you can beat all the other stuff right now without having to go to an HD store and spend 2 hours hunting someone down to open a cage for you

i bought that kit when it was $160 2 months back. still feel like i got ripped off. that OMT is worthless. not worth it at any price. the batteries suck too. they last 5 minutes before they bog down.
the hackzall is nice but i would rather buy the kit with 2x 6ah batteries and get the hackzall separately. i've seen the fuel version of that hackzall go for about $60 before.

NVM, I see this is about the future deal, not the linked one.

Those 6.0 ah batteries also on sale starting that same day for $49. I actually like the small CP batteries because it keeps the tool a smaller profile but it can't sit upright.
$149 price is good, the fist post linked something for $199 and come with 2 extra tools which both not great if not fuel version.

I been looking to get into the 12v line and I bought some already. If I had to do it again, I would just get the m12 fuel hammer drill tool (battery and charger) for $99.99 and buy the extra 6.0ah battery for $49. Sure you don't get the impact tool but I rarely use mine and the fuel versions gets very high praises for being comparable to 18v variants. This is just my use case. Everyone has different needs.

Nice if they were the fuel version, but so an unrealistic ask. I like the two batteries, but I don't really NEED them. I have a few 5ah high outputs already.

oh ok, the link posted is not the deal. I missed the "it's sort of like this deal..." That just makes this confusing.

From a purely $ perspective, yes. But for utility, the 2 3ah batteries are the worst deal at this size since the base is the least "filled" for this form factor. They're also lower current relative to other sizes with this foot form factor so not really that good for fuel brushless tools that would really benefit from bigger current output.

Fuel tools use less and require less energy from the batteries than brushed tools. So getting Fuel tools with larger batteries is a double good deal. The OP deal here shows a picture of 2ah batteries, but the deal referenced is actually 2x 6ah batteries!!!Cha-Ching! If I wanted to get up early and go to TC this would make the trip worth it!

Aren't the 5.0 batteries the better ones? Weren't the 6.0 batteries the ones with all the issues ??
