i bought a used-good TP-Link cam on the last deal. Came with an SD card installed!
And some weird footage of a guy in some small apartment, everything on the floor cooking on a counter top range, some old dude who was mostly naked in the quick skimming i did because im curious. i laughed, then i deleted em.
The 3k is definitely worth the extra money if you're going to use it outdoors since it has pet and vehicle detection while the 1080p and 2k only have person and baby crying detection.
Also, I had trouble with the 2k version on patrol mode. I would have to recalibrate it daily because it would drift. They may have fixed it by now. I exchanged it for the 3k and haven't tried patrol mode on it yet to figure out if it also suffers from the same drifting.
Tapo ecosystem is so much better. No subscription necessary. Can use rtsp with Blue Iris. Great picture quality. I threw all my Wyze cameras in the trash.
