Now, 2160 * 4 = 8640
Over 4 years, without taxes and fees, it is 8640.
Add state and other junk taxes to the total, it is a cool $10k over 3 years you have coughed out as a family 😆😆😆
It's always the larger picture that users do not take into account or aren't allowed to, when they dangle the shiny phones in front of you.
Even worse than that? When you "upgrade" every year or are given a 'deal' to stay with them after a year. That's how they become $$$$$ dollar companies. You become a perennial cash cow for these providers. They depend on your "it's too much to switch" or "they're good to me".
Your best bet is to stick to anything without contract or long term pricing. Yes, upfront it hurts, but the installment black hole will wring you dry. Doesn't matter who you go with.

Good luck to you all in figuring out which code to use to claim the gift cards, as this seems to be the main complaint against Verizon.
These situations are good examples of when we, as consumers, should contact the state attorneys general. If they see a habitual practice, they will sue.
After much research, it seems that a "code" is needed to claim the gift card, but there are countless complaints about how frustrating the process is for submitting these claims. Some people report receiving only one card instead of four.
