don't think there's much more to look at then that. got an battery one from years ago, issue with that one is battery sucked and it dies quick (weak battery/low battery = it slows down).

Guess main thing is battery will die over time so it'll only last for like 10 years. but for the price good enough. The other one with AA batteries would probably last forever, arguably you'd want to switch out the blades before then and getting another at $5 is probably easier/cheaper. who knows what new tech will be out then.

Bought the Conair version on a Slick Deal back in April and while it uses two AA batteries, it's been chugging along just fine. Tried Eneloops, regular alkaline, and even those fancy rechargeable lithium batteries and they all work great, no loss in power due to the voltage differences.

But for $5, I'm in for a backup!

Question: I have some pile carpeting that has a bunch of dried, hardened black dots (probably some kind of sap or gum) that someone carelessly brought into my rental property. The carpet was practically new and I'd love to fix it. Professional steam cleaning didn't work at all. Do you think these things are powerful enough to shave the top of the carpet fibers? It's just the very top of the carpet fibers. Thanks

I got one a few weeks ago, when they were on sale. Did some socks, blankets, shirts, jackets, seat covers, ect. Worked amazing and some stuff looks like brand new.
It also had 3 speeds for cutting which I did not know at first. Came in 98% charged after using it on multiple things over few hours still around 58% charge. Battery seems to go a long way.
The device can cut if something is too loose or long but that is easy to avoided by just keeping whatever you are working on pulled tight as you do it.

Long as what you need to shave can enter the devices holes I will say maybe. For $5 who cares if you already trying steam cleaning. Is worth a shot.

Whatever you trying to shave or cut just needs to not be able to mess up the blades and enter the small holes. Certain hard substances will not play well with this device.

It is basically, 3 razor blades, spinning behind a screen, with small vacuum/suction force.

All the customer photos in reviews section look too good to be from actual customers.

Never knew these things existed but thanks for posting. I typically use regular shavers which end up being more expensive as I don't use them for anything than clothing refreshing
