The Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB is a top tier PCIe 5.0 SSD, and the strongest value comes from stacking the Best Buy PayPal 20 percent offer with cashback, which can cut the effective price far below Amazon. It is also framed as the premium Gen 5 drive to beat, with fast performance and a clear path to price matching within 15 days. The main drawback is capacity, since 2TB can feel tight for modern games and the 4TB model has more cache and better performance. PayPal eligibility and points timing can also complicate the promo, so the deal works best when those pieces line up.
Common Questions (5)
The 4TB version has more cache and can perform better than the 2TB model. It also gives more headroom for large games and future storage needs, which matters because 4TB and even 8TB capacities are being viewed as more practical now.
The lower effective price comes from buying through Best Buy with the PayPal 20% off offer, then stacking a 4% cashback site. That can bring the 2TB drive down to about $148.89 plus tax, though the PayPal reward is points that may stay pending for up to 90 days.
This is being treated as the top-end PCIe Gen5 SSD right now, with no clearly better drive expected soon. The main tradeoff is capacity and price, since some buyers would rather step up to 4TB or 8TB for more room and a better long-term value.
Yes, the offer has been used multiple times on separate accounts, including 3-4 times on one account and similarly on another. The savings are applied as PayPal rewards points rather than instant cash off.
No. PayPal can deny the Pay in 4 option for some accounts, including cases flagged for "unusual activity," so the promo is not guaranteed even with a good credit history.

Edited to add: Specifically, Best Buy. I see the 20% Cashback at certain stores, but I don't see Best Buy apart of that group. :/

During Best Buy check-out, it will be the Paypal "Pay in 4" option. You will see the points added AFTER you make the purchase. Once purchased, log into your paypal account, under rewards, it should show Best Buy Co., Inc. $200+tx with over 4000 plus points due to taxes being added. This will be pending for up to 90 days. Take note, this is not cash or money off the total, so you will need to use up the Paypal reward points once it is applied using a Paypal payment method in the future.

To be honest, I had zero points at Paypal. Not sure why, I use it all the time. But that's fine. I've used the AMX deal they've promoted. I thought they were the same thing when I posted and that's why I didn't get it at all. I was mixing them together for some reason (too much going on). But I missed this now (I had read your post the other day though). I appreciate the help though.
