The Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB is a top tier PCIe 5.0 SSD, and the strongest value comes from stacking the Best Buy PayPal 20 percent offer with cashback, which can cut the effective price far below Amazon. It is also framed as the premium Gen 5 drive to beat, with fast performance and a clear path to price matching within 15 days. The main drawback is capacity, since 2TB can feel tight for modern games and the 4TB model has more cache and better performance. PayPal eligibility and points timing can also complicate the promo, so the deal works best when those pieces line up.

The PayPal thing has been discussed quite a bit on the forums. At first it was usable an unlimited number of times but people noticed that and PayPal woke up to it and now it's a one-time use offer.
I've used it over 3-4x on my account and the same on my wife's for some huge discounts! Huge savings for holiday shopping this year!

Bought 4tb variant for like 250 bucks last BF . AI has messed up storage prices .
This model (PCIe 5.0) came out March of this year. You probably bought the old PCIe 4.0 Version.

I for one was not aware that Paypal had a discount at some stores. Is this a credit card thing or did I (quite easily have) miss(ed) an email?

Edited to add: Specifically, Best Buy. I see the 20% Cashback at certain stores, but I don't see Best Buy apart of that group. :/
Here is the Paypal 20% off post, follow directions:
https://slickdeals.net/f/18824500-select-paypal-accounts-one-eligible-purchase-pay-later-with-paypal-get-20-cash-back-up-to-1-250-spent?v=1

During Best Buy check-out, it will be the Paypal "Pay in 4" option. You will see the points added AFTER you make the purchase. Once purchased, log into your paypal account, under rewards, it should show Best Buy Co., Inc. $200+tx with over 4000 plus points due to taxes being added. This will be pending for up to 90 days. Take note, this is not cash or money off the total, so you will need to use up the Paypal reward points once it is applied using a Paypal payment method in the future.

FYI for fellow AI Devs: 4TB model has more cache and actually performs better.

Except PayPal will decide if you get the pay 4 option. They did a shady on me and denied my request for pay 4 said that my account had "unusual activity" what BS!! I have been a user since 2001 and I have excellent credit. WTAF?!

Thank you!

To be honest, I had zero points at Paypal. Not sure why, I use it all the time. But that's fine. I've used the AMX deal they've promoted. I thought they were the same thing when I posted and that's why I didn't get it at all. I was mixing them together for some reason (too much going on). But I missed this now (I had read your post the other day though). I appreciate the help though.
