I have had this for years and it is good, but 2GB of RAM is no longer sufficient anymore. This is six year old technology.

This one says 8gb, is that the ram they're showing or some other spec at 8gb?

Nm, just checked the specs, that's the storage capacity. It is still 2gb of RAM. Thanks for pointing that out though!

One other thing, this device is still on Android TV 11 and 16 came out this year. Nvidia put out an update earlier this month, but it was for the most minor of bug fixes.

The Pro is still very good, I use it often with the Projectivy launcher to get rid of the Google junk. I was skeptical, but its the most widely compatible box to do direct no-transcode streaming from my Plex server. My Hisense TV is great for most things but struggles or tranacodes on certain Dolby Vision files, but the Pro just plays them flawlessly. Even seems to do better with the 4k hdr remux rips at full bitrate over wifi as well. I agree though, this standard one is probably worth skipping.

I watched ebay deals for a month or so until I could snag the Pro for around this price. recommend that since the MSRP is still too high.

I just grabbed a pro this morning, as it just dropped to $170. Still not as low as this, but $30 cheaper than normal.

Pretty much as low as it ever has been. Might as well if you want it new!

My thoughts exactly! Finally decided last week to get one for the first time, (even though they're old) and just saw it go on sale this morning lol.

I had the pro version of this but got rid of it because the Hulu app starred having problems to no end. I replaced with an Onn Pro and has been great so far.
