This ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 stands out as a compact business laptop with strong specs, a rugged build, and easy serviceability. The 14 inch OLED 120 hertz display and Ryzen AI 7 PRO chip make it feel powerful for everyday work, and the 64 gigabytes of memory is a notable step up from similar 32 gigabyte configurations. The main tradeoffs are battery life and the integrated MediaTek wireless card, which has been linked to WiFi and Bluetooth problems and cannot be swapped out. Real world battery reports land around 5 to 6 hours, so it suits portability more than all day unplugged use.
business users who want a durable, serviceable 14" ThinkPad for everyday work because ThinkPads are described as business-oriented with good durability and easier service than many consumer laptops.
buyers who are worried about OLED battery life but still want the P14s because one commenter chose the lower-power WUXGA option (14" WUXGA 1920x1200, part number 21QL001WUS) specifically to avoid the OLED battery concerns.
people who can tolerate moderate unplugged use (around 5-6 hours) because one owner reported real-world battery life of about 5-6 hours, even though it "could be better."
people who need strong battery life from an OLED configuration because multiple commenters called out low battery life and specifically warned that OLED battery life isn't very good (including advice to keep brightness low and even reduce CPU speed).
buyers who want to avoid Lenovo's small-battery limitation because commenters said Lenovo refuses to include higher-capacity batteries in this model, which was called out as a reason they didn't buy the deals.
buyers who rely on stable Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth without workarounds because one owner returned theirs due to Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth issues tied to the MediaTek chip, and noted the card isn't swappable since it's soldered to the motherboard (a dongle workaround was mentioned).
gamers, video editors, or modelers who want a GPU for those workloads because one commenter said there's no GPU, so it's not suitable for gaming, video editing, or modeling use cases.
buyers who want long-term battery capacity retention because one owner reported the battery degrades quickly after about 2 years (Vantage showing reduced capacity and "low battery life").

The thing that drives me nuts is the button on the bottom left is fn (function) and not ctrl. Sure you can remap it, but it's not the same.

Does it mostly come down to a little more power here vs a little more portability with the other?
They both seem similarly priced and discounted.
I bought the low power screen one (14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) for $969. I was worried about battery life on the OLED one. I was tempted to buy the one you posted, but finally purchased this one: Part number: 21QL001WUS
For people worried about battery: there is an other option: 21QL001WUS
